Having family time

Dee, Rose and I have had a wonderful time together as a family. It's now come to the end of my leave, and I will be returning back to work on Monday. Rose has been a blessing for us, and also a way to prove that we are a happy family, and we can survive through thick and thin.

Thank you to everyone who has sent us messages, presents and who have visited with us, as we have gone through the biggest fortnight that we can look back on with pride.

Week 40 - OMG!!

Well, here's a milestone we didnt expect to see. We will be going into WHAS again tomorrow morning, and will find out whether we just stay there.

Sunday has been a day of last minute cleaning and shopping, including the purchase of cream donuts.... mmmm....

Here is Dee taking a break between her nesting tasks of cleaning the pram and cooking some experimental hokey pokey.

Manic Monday

Wish it was Sunday....

Yesterday proved to be a facade for Summer. It was hot, blues skies abound, and a feeling of absolute bliss. Not today though.

As well as the hassles of traffic, rain and not having my access card for the building, today is another reminder that no matter how much you want to have control over things, it is rarely the case.

Week 39 - and still going

Yes, we're still here, as thirty nine weeks rolls over. Dee had a bit of a twinge yesterday that she's never felt before. A good remedy for this (and other aches and pains) was to pretend to be "interested" in purchasing a massage chair from Harvey Norman. We weren't snapped out by staff, instead it was by Dave and Deb Lemmon who came in to the shop for a legitimate reason.

Before we went to Kathryn's to celebrate her 35... err I mean 29th birthday, the Sun came out. We had lunch outside, and I was even able to mow the lawn (after this picture was taken, of course)

The Waiting game continues

We are nearly at the end of week 38, and it's all about waiting.

We went to John Tait's on Monday night, he referred us to the WHAS on Tuesday.

We got to listen to baby's heartbeat again at WHAS, and when all the tests came back okay... so we were sent packing.

It's now Friday, we have another appointment with John at lunchtime. John has already mentioned that he wouldnt like baby to go past the overdue day, so that means we will be parents in the next 9 days!!

Happy 18 Month Anniversary

Yes, we made it! (and remembered it)
After I finished work, I came back to get all dolled up and take my wife out for dinner and a show.
We went to the Plimmerton cafe for a nice dinner, dee had a thai green curry whilst I had a delicious chicken breast drizzled with plum sauce.
The show (I don't think I should be saying that word considering Dee's state!) was a movie at Pauatahanui Lighthouse. A bit of cake and coffee while watching Flight 93 was a good way to finish the night. :-)
